Advanced Practitioner – Adult Contact Team

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Advanced Practitioner with the right values, skills, knowledge and experience to contribute to further enhancing and embedding strengths-based practice; which is built around people’s desired outcomes and goals.
The post is based within the ‘Front Door’ of Adult Social Care where the focus is to ensure that the adults of Rotherham and their carers are enabled to prioritise their wellbeing, maximise assets, promote independence and ensure vulnerable adults are safeguarded appropriately when needed.
The role of the Advanced Practitioner will be hands-on. You will have a smaller caseload, working with people with a complexity of needs. You will also share your knowledge and experience with colleagues through supervision and mentoring.
Our Advanced Practitioner will help champion high-quality professional social work practice standards by encouraging and supporting opportunities for reflection and learning. You will deliver on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to staff and students.
About you
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will provide professional leadership and some supervision to colleagues within your team, supporting the team manager with your team’s day-to-day operations when required and contributing to effective and efficient services.
You will require a sound working knowledge of the Care Act, significant experience in undertaking complex safeguarding enquires and risk assessments and have comprehensive risk management skills. You will be able to demonstrate expertise in the supervision and development of staff, including performance management.
You must hold a registration with Social Work England and be competent at or willing to work to the Advanced Practitioner level of the Professional Capabilities Framework for Registered Practitioners.
