Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dependable HGV 2 Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) to deliver our products efficiently to various destinations.
We will also want the driver to be HGV 1 cover if necessary.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations
- Deliver products to multiple locations, following planned routes and schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during every aspect of your work
Requirements
- Valid HGV 2 (Class C) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices for commercial vehicles
- Delivery driver experience with excellent navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
