Job Summary:
We are seeking either 1 x40 hour or 2 x 20 hour cooks to share the role and join our catering team. The ideal candidate/s will be responsible for creating high-quality dishes, managing front of house staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.The Cook/s reports to the General Manager, but will receive information and guidance from the Office Administrator, this role requires excellent organisational skills, leadership abilities to focus FoH staff, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality food for customers
- Lead and supervise catering staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
- Train and mentor junior staff.
- Monitor food preparation techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment.
- In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative and innovative approach to menu planning.
- Relevant culinary certification or degree (preferred but not always required).

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (e.g., boxes of ingredients).
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
Working pattern:
- 3-5 days a week, planned with other staff to ensure cover at the weekends and at other times when the club is particularly busy. Normal weekends will require a senior catering member of staff to be on duty, some low season weekends may require basic staff, evenings are required.
