The Role
As an Apprentice Service Technician, you'll receive hands-on training and gain experience in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair. Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll learn how to:
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and overhaul vehicle components and systems.
- Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Work safely and effectively within a professional workshop environment.
Our technicians play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience, helping ensure every vehicle leaves our workshop in excellent condition.
Your Apprenticeship
Over the three-year apprenticeship programme, you'll work towards achieving an NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance and Repair of Light Vehicles while earning a full-time salary.
Training is delivered through face-to-face block release at Volkswagen Group UK's state-of-the-art National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes. You'll attend one week of training approximately every 6–8 weeks, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered by Pulman.
What We're Looking For
To be successful, you'll need:
- GCSE grades 4-9 (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science.
- A genuine interest in the motor industry.
- A willingness to learn and commitment to completing the apprenticeship.
- Good communication skills.
- A customer-focused approach.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
