Deputy Head of Construction
We are looking for a Deputy Head of Construction to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £47,469 (+ 4% Market Force Supplement) per annum.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
- Currently responsible for line management of the Carpentry and Joinery and Wet Trades team. Applicant must hold a Level 3 qualification in either Carpentry and Joinery, Plastering or Brickwork.
- To work with the Head of Department to develop and implement programmes of study across all types of provision that are fit for purpose and lead to sustainable destinations for all students.
- To support the Head of Department in the design of programmes for all provision types which embrace innovative and best practice teaching approaches to enable the department to achieve the highest standards.
- To assist in the development of a curriculum that is inclusive and allows the maximum number of students with SEND to access our provision.
- To assist the Head of Department in the implementation of wider college policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in either Carpentry and Joinery, Plastering or Brickwork.
- Level 2 English and Maths
- Teaching qualification
- Experience of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment resulting in a positive impact over time.
- Experience of the use of data to assess and improve both standards and performance.
- Experience of course review and/or curriculum audit processes.
- Knowledge of Post-16 inspection processes.
