Christian Carer and SupportWorker
Elderly gentleman needs male Christian carer to enable him live at home.
- You need to be 18+ to legally provide personal care.
- You must be male gender as a Genuine Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010).
- You need to be a born-again Bible believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (Equality Act 2010) to provide fellowship.
- You need to live within approx. 20 minutes travel of Felixstowe IP11 7QR

ROLE
- Supervision & care support of morning showering, shaving, dressing etc.
- Like support for evening undressing, washing etc, & getting into bed.
- Taking a morning & evening blood pressure measurement using equipment provided.
- Changing day/night catheter bags.
- Providing Christian fellowship through discussion of scriptures, etc.
- Escorting/driving to weekly medical appointments via employer’s vehicle.
- Undertaking limited domestic duties: e.g. loading washing machine, tidying up after evening dinner.
- Maintaining a very high level of hygiene at ALL times to prevent spread of infection
SKILLS REQUIRED
- You need to be able to constantly supervise the person you care for.
- You need good verbal communication skills.
- You need good initiative, with ability to anticipate when things need to be done.
- You need to be able to learn and carefully carry out instructions.
- You need to be a patient, gentle, kind and calm individual.
- You need to have good organisation skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
- You need to have flexibility with the daily times/hours on some occasions.
- A valid full U.K. driver license would be useful.
PAY & HOURS
- Pay: £17.50/hour.
- Hours: 20+ hours/week, 6 days/week Mon-Sat.
- Mornings, 8:45 - approx. 10:30. Evenings: 20:30 - approx. 21:30
- Additional hours - to be discussed.
