Salary: £15.00 - £16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team based in Tamworth.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and has experience fabricating and MIG welding both mild steel and aluminium.
You will be confident working from engineering drawings, producing accurate work to specification and working both independently and as part of a supportive production team.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components from engineering drawings.
- MIG weld mild steel and aluminium to the required quality standards.
- Work with material thicknesses ranging from approximately 0.8mm to 15mm.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Measure, mark out and prepare materials using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure work meets specification.
- Safely operate relevant hand and power tools.
- Maintain high housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
- Support colleagues and contribute to the efficient running of the manufacturing department.
Skills & Experience - Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience in fabrication and MIG welding.
- Experience MIG welding both mild steel and aluminium.
- Experience working with a range of material thicknesses, ideally approximately 0.8mm–15mm.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good measuring and fabrication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- FLT (Forklift Truck) experience or licence.
- TIG welding experience.
- Sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Own transport due to the location.
