Role Purpose:
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer, someone who has served a Mechanical apprenticeship ideally with some post apprenticeship experience in a production environment.
The Positions
- Full time
- Monday - Friday 07.00 - 16.00
- Rate of pay will depend on experience.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifying faults, investigating production problems, and repairing equipment quickly and efficiently.
- Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements, designing processes, materials, tools, and systems.
- Obtaining any materials and equipment required.
- Ensuring all employees adhere to organisational procedures and instructions while operating the equipment.
- Carrying out PPM’s on equipment.
- Coordinating maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational.
- Creating and managing maintenance procedures in accordance with food safety practices and standards.
- Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production.
- Ensure compliance with all requirements of the Quality Management Systems for the site.
- Develop training criteria for new and modified equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
- Maintaining and developing your personal engineering skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry, at a national and international level.
- Ensure that all work conducted is in accordance with all Health & safety rules and regulations.
- Making sure that Food Safety Standards, Health and Safety and site Hygiene standards are followed.
