Rebound Care & Support is seeking to recruit flexible and experienced female Brain Injury Buddy Support Workers to support our client, a 27-year-old woman living independently in her own home.
Based in Totton, Southampton, this is a 1:1 support role focused on providing personalised assistance to promote independence, maintain a structured daily routine, support emotional wellbeing, respect personal boundaries, and encourage community participation and engagement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in empowering our client to achieve her goals while enhancing her quality of life through person-centred support.
Due to the client needs we are seeking for females only, who can drive and have access to their own vehicle, as our client enjoys access to the community.
Hours
Mon, Wed, Thu – 10.00am - 3.00pm ( 5h per shift – 15h per week)
Pay
£17p/h
Responsibilities
- Following personalised support plans and risk assessments
- Assist individuals in accessing community to improve their quality of life.
- Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals.
- Provide guidance and support to the client , ensuring best practices and a person-centered approach.
- Assist with medication management and help service users attend health appointments.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation.
Experience
- We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care during the day and evening. The Ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with BI clients, challenging behaviour, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
