Job Summary
Children's Residential Care Worker - Growing Together at Nest Care
At Nest Care, we believe that exceptional care begins with exceptional people.
Our Children's Residential Care Workers are more than support workers—they are trusted adults, advocates, mentors and positive role models who make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people every single day.
We are committed to creating a culture where both children and staff can thrive. Just as we invest in the development, wellbeing and future of every child, we invest equally in the people who choose to build their careers with us.
We do not simply offer a job—we offer a profession, a purpose and a clear pathway for growth.
Our Vision
Our vision is to become one of the North West's most respected therapeutic children's residential providers by creating homes where children experience safety, stability, belonging and opportunity.
We know this can only be achieved by recruiting, developing and retaining outstanding professionals who share our values and are passionate about changing children's lives.
Rather than relying on external recruitment for leadership positions, our ambition is to develop future leaders from within Nest Care wherever possible. We believe those who understand our culture, values and children are best placed to lead the organisation into the future.
Every member of staff has the opportunity to grow through structured training, mentoring, supervision, professional qualifications and leadership development.
Your career journey matters as much as the children's journey.
Living Our NEST Values
Every Children's Residential Care Worker is expected to demonstrate our values in every interaction.
Nurture - We provide warmth, compassion and consistency, recognising that positive relationships are the foundation of recovery from trauma.
Empower - We encourage children to develop confidence, independence, resilience and aspirations while supporting colleagues to reach their own professional potential through continuous learning and development.
Safety - We create environments where children feel physically, emotionally and psychologically safe. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and underpins every decision we make.
Trust - We build trusting relationships through honesty, integrity, accountability and reliability. Children deserve adults who keep their promises, remain consistent and genuinely care.
Our Commitment to Staff
At Nest Care, we recognise that our staff are our greatest asset.
We are committed to creating an environment where colleagues feel respected, valued and supported to achieve both personal and professional success.
We will:
- Invest in high-quality training beyond mandatory requirements.

Organic Career Progression
We believe the strongest leaders are developed, not simply recruited.

A typical career pathway may include:
- Bank Children's Residential Care Worker
- Children's Residential Care Worker
