At Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences in a stunning lakeside setting. We are now looking for a reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance Team, supporting the upkeep and presentation of our resort.
Responsibilities for Maintenance Engineer
As a Maintenance Engineer within the maintenance team, you will support the day-to-day maintenance and safety of the hotel, spa, and grounds. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Resort Management team, you will help ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards for both guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance team across the hotel, spa, and grounds
- Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, decorating, and repairs
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance issues and guest requests
- Ensure guest bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained to a high standard
- Assist with routine inspections to identify defects and health & safety issues
- Support contractors and service engineers working on-site
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, including fire safety and water hygiene
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition
- Provide weekend and on-call cover as part of a rota
About You:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or estates role is desirable.
- A understanding of general maintenance disciplines
- A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good awareness of health & safety requirements
- Flexible, reliable, and keen to learn
- A positive attitude with a commitment to high standards
