Technical Sales Consultant – Fitted Furniture
£26,000 basic + uncapped commission

Online Bedrooms designs and sells premium fitted bedrooms, wardrobes and media walls to customers across the UK.
We're looking for an experienced sales person who is comfortable selling higher-value products through live customer consultations.
This is both a sales and a technical design role.
You do not need previous CAD experience, as we will train you on our software and products. However, you must already know how to sell, be confident speaking with customers face-to-face over Zoom, and be comfortable working with measurements, layouts and technical product information.
The role
Every appointment is pre-booked with a customer who has already expressed an interest in buying fitted furniture.
Your job is to:
- Run live online consultations with customers via Zoom and telephone
- Understand the customer's requirements, room dimensions and priorities
- Turn those requirements into a fitted furniture design using our CAD software
- Present your recommendation clearly and confidently
- Explain products, layouts, options and pricing
- Handle questions and objections
- Ask for the business and close the sale
- Follow a structured sales process and work towards individual sales targets
There is no cold calling. Your focus is on making the most of qualified appointments and converting them into sales.
What we're looking forEssential
- At least 2 years' experience in target-driven sales
- Experience selling directly to consumers
- Confidence conducting face-to-face, video or consultative sales appointments
- Experience handling objections and closing business
- Comfortable working to individual sales targets and KPIs
- Strong IT skills and confidence learning new software
- A technically minded approach and confidence working with measurements, dimensions and layouts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain products clearly
- Commercially driven and motivated by earning commission

- Technical or specification-based products
- Other higher-value consultative sales environments
CAD or design experience would be an advantage, but proven sales ability is more important.
This is not an entry-level, graduate or junior interior design position.
What you'll earn
- £26,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission
- Our designers realistically earn around £1,500 per month in commission on top of basic salary
- Realistic OTE of approximately £40,000–£44,000+

Hours
37.5 hours per week, based at our office in the Mansfield Innovation Centre.
Monday to Friday on a rotating shift:
Plus every other Saturday working from home, 10am–2pm, with a half-day back during the week.
You will therefore need to be comfortable working occasional later shifts and have a reliable way of travelling to our Mansfield office.
