The Role
This Admin Assistant position is a key support role within a busy workshop and office environment. You will assist with general administration and some accounts duties, helping to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative support to the office
- Answering incoming calls with a confident, professional telephone manner
- Assisting with basic accounts tasks and documentation
- Liaising with workshop staff to support workflow coordination
- Managing emails, correspondence and general enquiries
- Filing, data entry and maintaining organised office system
- Support invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks
- Handle general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing
- Assiting the director with preparing and issuing estimates
- Ensure the office environment remains tidy and well-organised to optimise efficiency
Requirements
- Have a confident and professional telephone manner
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills
- Ideally hold a valid, clean UK driving licence
- Be flexible and willing to work additional hours when needed
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Knowledge of upholstery and furniture fabrics would be advantageous but is not essential
Pay: £15.00 per hour
