Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Football Coach to join our football development programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and leading training sessions, fostering teamwork, and encouraging the development of young athletes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire children through football, promote healthy lifestyles, and develop coaching skills within a supportive environment.
Duties
- Plan and deliver high ability football training sessions tailored to various age groups between 8-13yrs.
- Organise team drills, exercises, and practise matches to enhance players’ technical abilities and understanding of the game
- Provide positive encouragement and constructive feedback to motivate young athletes
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to relevant health and safety guidelines
- Foster a team environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among players
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and programme organisers regarding player progress and upcoming events
Qualifications
- Previous experience in football coaching. Lev 2 or 3 minimum.
- Strong knowledge of football techniques, and training methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate children and work collaboratively with colleagues
- Organised with the ability to plan sessions effectively and manage group dynamics
- Passionate about promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among young people
- Relevant coaching qualifications or willingness to undertake training are desirable but not essential
