Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee and tea, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or snacks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service at all times.
- Handle cash transactions using the till, ensuring correct change is given.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and efficiently.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or serving experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills are required for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience in food preparation or working in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills and good time management are essential to prioritise tasks effectively. Pay: £12.71-£12.80 per hour
