Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a van or similar commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Pick up orders from restaurant partners efficiently and accurately
- Deliver food orders promptly to customers’ specified locations while maintaining food quality and presentation
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery status or any issues that arise during transit
- Handle cash or electronic payments when necessary, ensuring accurate transaction processing
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle to ensure safety and professionalism
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when required, especially during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with van or commercial vehicle operation
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is highly valued
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics processes can be beneficial for efficient pickup and delivery procedures
- Ability to lift heavy items safely; physical strength is important for handling large or bulky orders
- Excellent communication skills to interact politely and effectively with customers and team members
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools to optimize delivery routes
