Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baby Room Leader to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead and inspire a team of childcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and development for our youngest children. Your enthusiasm and leadership will create a nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore and grow. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families while working in a dynamic, supportive setting.
- The hours of work will be 40 hours per week, between 7.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. Monday to Friday on a shift rota basis, or the option for a 4 day working week with one day off.
- Holiday entitlement is 28 days per year including Public Holidays. Plus an additional day for your birthday!

Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations within the baby room, overseeing staff, children, and activities to ensure a smooth, engaging, and safe environment
- Supervise and support team members, fostering a positive team culture through effective management and leadership
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones in communication, motor skills, social interaction, and emotional well-being
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies at all times
- Conduct regular risk assessments of the nursery environment to uphold safety protocols
- Support staff training and development to enhance childcare skills and knowledge in early childhood education
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working with children, particularly in early childhood or infant care environments
- Strong understanding of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and nursery routines
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
- A genuine passion for nurturing young children’s growth and development combined with a proactive approach to leadership
