We provide assessment & intervention to children aged 0-18 with MSK, Rheumatology & congenital conditions.
We would like to recruit a Physiotherapist who has some experience in paediatrics and motivated to learn and gain further paediatric experience. The individual should have proven experience, working independently and as part of a team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to develop their clinical skills.
We are an integrated Children’s physiotherapy service providing assessment and intervention for children and young people aged 0-19 years with a range of physical and developmental conditions, complex needs and life limiting conditions.
Will consider a Band 5- 6 development post if appropriate for the right candidate

The post holder will be working across the acute setting & the main caseload will consist of children with MSK needs. However, there will be also the expectation to cover the children’s ward if needed.
To work as part of multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to deliver highly specialist interventions according to the agreed service care pathways. You will need to work collaboratively within the integrated team as well as the wider MDT
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with parents / carers and other stakeholders, using highly developed negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
To maintain, develop and promote excellence in clinical practice paediatrics, with reference to current research and evidence-based practice, contributing to safe effective practice in the specialist clinical area
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is an integrated Trust and the only provider of NHS acute care in Walsall, serving a population of 284,300. Walsall Manor houses the full range of district general hospital services under one roof. There are regular in-service training programmes, journal club, case discussions & team meetings. The post holder is encouraged to contribute to these & further develop their presentation & clinical analysis skills. Supervision, personal development reviews & professional development opportunities are available & CPD is supported & actively encouraged where funding has been secured. Some student supervision will also be required.
