The UEL Clinical support associate will join the UEL clinical support Team.
We are a team that is designed to offer a managed service to UHS theatres. This includes managing equipment, instruments, consumables and the Estate.
Please note UEL does not hold a Home Office Workers Licence and therefore unable to offer sponsorship.
This will involve independent work, managing your own time and workload, and communicating with the larger UHSteam. Non-exhaustive examples of work tasks are:
- Looking at instrument set checklists to optimise them and reduce costs
- Running trials/tenders on equipment
- Problem solving issues with consumables
- Researching and cost-comparing various products.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be driven to negotiate for best price where appropriate
- Have good computer skills, and have experience with Microsoft Excel
- Be able to use their clinical experience to drive product choices
- Be proactive, independent, and willing to make difficult decisions
- Act to a high standard at all times
- Be able to admit when they are wrong and able to learn from their mistakes
- Be willing to assist others with their workload, to the overall benefit of everyone
- Be able to communicate calmly and think on their feet in a dynamic environment
- Be organised, and have a dislike for unnecessary clutter
- Be Motivated to execute change in challenging circumstances
- Treat colleagues with professionalism & respect
- Be able to work both as part of a team and as an individual
The standard shift pattern is 0800 - 1600 Monday-Friday
