Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence where possible
- Follow personalised care plans to meet the specific needs of each individual
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Support with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals under your care at all times
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
- Maintain compliance with training
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations or for home visits
- Access to own vehicle
- Business insurance or willingness to obtain
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills to update records and access relevant documentation
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
