We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and motivated Female Outreach Support Worker to join our team in Telford.
This is a community-based role, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, as there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be female.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs
- Encourage independence, choice and community participation.
- Support individuals to attend appointments, shopping trips, social activities and hobbies.
- Maintain accurate daily records and complete all required documentation.
- Promote dignity, respect, privacy and equality at all times.
- Safeguard the people you support and report any concerns promptly.
- Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
Essential Requirements
- Female applicant (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confident driving in the community.
- Caring, patient and reliable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal English.
- Willingness to undertake mandatory training.
Desirable
- Previous experience in health and social care.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards one).
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs.
