We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our brand-new, fully private dental practice in the heart of Stamford, a picturesque market town in Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and forward-thinking dental team within a small, supportive group of practices.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and comfort, while supporting clinicians in the delivery of a wide range of dental treatments. This position requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a patient-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and readily available.
- Deliver exceptional patient care by offering reassurance, answering queries, and addressing any concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control protocols in line with current regulations.
- Efficiently manage appointment schedules to ensure smooth patient flow and minimise waiting times.
- Carry out administrative duties including filing, managing correspondence, and handling patient inquiries.
- Use dental software systems for clinical notes, appointment booking, and records management.
Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with current registration and relevant certification, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in English and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- A caring and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
- Familiarity with dental software systems is advantageous, although training will be provided.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
