Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Practitioner to work night shifts within a caring environment. The role involves supporting individuals throughout the night and providing personal care in the morning, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. Pay
Starting at £14.50 for those qualified at NVQ Level 2 and £15.50 for Level 3. This is reviewed and increased annual
Hours
2-3 x 10 hours shifts available working 2200 - 0800 with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts regularly when required to cover annual leave or sick leave.

Duties
- Provide personalised care to individuals in accordance with their care plans, ensuring their needs are met effectively and compassionately
- Support service users with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management
- Monitor the well-being of residents during night shifts, responding promptly to any emergencies or concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any notable observations in line with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, service users, and their families to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with organising and updating care plans to reflect changing needs or preferences
- Ensure the safety and security of the premises throughout the night shift by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date
- Drive as needed to support home care visits or attend external appointments related to the role
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 In Health & Social Care with previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is essential.
- Good command of English language, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with colleagues and service users. Being able to speak and understand Welsh is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable adults or elderly residents
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
