About the Role
The position is primarily workshop-based, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and full machine reconditioning on a wide range of professional groundcare and turfcare equipment. Occasional field-based work may also be required.
You will work on leading brands including:
- Ransomes
- John Deere
- Kubota
- Toro
- Hayter
- Ventrac
- Trimax
Manufacturer-specific experience is beneficial but not essential, as full product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose - mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
- Service, maintain and repair professional groundcare machinery
- Carry out complete machine refurbishment and reconditioning to a high standard
- Inspect and prepare machinery for sale and customer delivery
- Complete job records and workshop documentation accurately
- Attend customer sites when required for repairs and servicing
- Maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' mechanical engineering or machinery repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Hydraulic system diagnostics
- Good understanding of diesel engines,
- Basic auto-electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Desirable Skills
- Experience with professional groundcare, turfcare or agricultural equipment
- Knowledge of John Deere, Ransomes, Kubota, Toro, Hayter, Ventrac or Trimax machinery
- Welding and fabrication experience
