Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated English tutors based in London to provide online lessons for Turkish middle school and high school students. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, able to create engaging lessons, and can communicate clearly with learners whose first language is not English.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online English lessons to middle school and high school students.
- Adapt lessons to students' language levels and learning goals.
- Encourage students to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Deliver customised tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Assist students with understanding complex concepts across various subjects, including specialised areas such as special education
- Develop engaging lesson plans and educational materials to enhance learning outcomes
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents or guardians
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence, motivation, and independence
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning abilities and challenges
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and progress reports
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure cohesive support for learners
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young learners
- Knowledge of special education needs and strategies for supporting diverse learning requirements is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Previous experience working with children is highly advantageous
- Organisational skills to plan lessons effectively and track student progress
- A genuine passion for education and helping others succeed
