Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and garnishing ingredients
- Ensuring all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and organised throughout the shift
- Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with company policies
- Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, or culinary skills is advantageous
- Experience working in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus
- Familiarity with health and safety standards within a food service environment is beneficial
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality sector
