What Youll Do

As a Senior Technical Estimator, youll play a key role in preparing accurate, commercially sound and technically robust estimates for high-voltage renewable energy projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing complex high-voltage project enquiries from initial assessment through to tender submission, negotiation and contract award
Reviewing specifications and project information to understand technical, commercial and delivery requirements for works up to 400kV
Preparing detailed cost estimates for high-voltage electrical infrastructure works in support of Powersystems tendering approach
Attending site visits, pre-tender and post-tender meetings, as well as pre-contract discussions
Working with the Procurement team to source, review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
Collaborating with teams across the business to ensure estimates are accurate, practical and deliverable
Promoting Powersystems Priority No.1 approach to Health, Safety and Wellbeing, alongside professionalism and continuous improvement

Were looking for someone with:

Strong technical knowledge of 33kV, 132kV and 400kV electrical infrastructure works
Proven experience preparing technical estimates and tender submissions within the electrical infrastructure sector, ideally up to 400kV
A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
The ability to interpret requirements, specifications and technical drawings, and convert them into high-quality tender submissions
Excellent communication skills
The ability to build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout
A full UK driving licence
The right to work in the UK
