Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-precision components. The role involves cutting ply kits and racking for vehicles. Experience on designing on CAD is a bonus. Salary depends on experience
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines using CAD and SolidWorks drawings to produce complex components.
- Programme CNC equipment ensuring accurate machining based on technical specifications.
- Perform grinding, milling, and other machining operations to achieve desired tolerances and finishes.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery, including basic troubleshooting of tooling and mechanical issues.
- Assist with welding, plastics injection moulding, and assembly tasks as required.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely for machine maintenance and part handling.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Document production activities accurately and report any discrepancies or machine malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operating CNC machines within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Knowledge of CNC Machines
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and tooling for assembly and maintenance tasks.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and programme adjustments.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in production.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
