The Role
As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and restoration work on a wide variety of vehicles. No two days are the same—you could be servicing a modern daily driver one day and rebuilding or fault-finding on a 1990s JDM legend the next.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Carry out engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and braking repairs.
- Perform restoration, refurbishment, and sympathetic repairs on classic vehicles.
- Work extensively on 1990s Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles, including performance and imported models.
- Use modern diagnostic equipment alongside traditional fault-finding techniques.
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional work where appropriate.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Maintain accurate workshop records and job documentation.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for classic vehicles and automotive engineering.
- Experience working on a wide range of vehicles, including older models.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team.
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with classic vehicle restoration.
- Knowledge of 1990s JDM vehicles, including models from Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Subaru.
- Experience working with imported vehicles.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Overtime opportunities.
- Ongoing technical training and professional development.
- Opportunity to work on rare, classic, and enthusiast vehicles.
- Modern workshop equipped with specialist tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Company pension.
- Paid annual leave.
- Friendly, knowledgeable team with a shared passion for automotive excellence.
If you're looking for a role where you'll work on everything from 1960s classics to modern performance cars—with a strong emphasis on some of the most iconic 1990s JDM vehicles ever built—this is an opportunity to turn your passion into your career.
