Overview
We are looking for a reliable, safety-concious Grab Lorry Driver to join our team. The role is primarily 6-wheeler grab work, with additional 8-wheeler and 4-wheeler delivery driving as needed. You'll be transporting soil, aggregates and construction materials to and from sites, loading and unloading using the grab, ensuring loads are secure and compliant and keeping accurate site paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Primarily operate a 6-wheeler grab lorry plus occasional 8-wheeler and 4 wheeler delivery driving
- Load and unload materials (soil, muck away, aggregates, etc.) using the grab loader, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Complete waste transfer note / site dcumentation accurately
- Follow all health and safety procedures on site
- Communicate professionally with site teams and clients
Requirements
- Full UK Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence
- Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous grab lorry experience preferred
- Good knowledge of local area
- Punctual, hardworking and a team player
