Are you an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys taking ownership of your ledger, building strong relationships and delivering results?
Synergem is partnering with a highly successful, premium organisation entering an exciting period of growth. As the business continues to expand, it is looking for a dedicated Credit Controller to join its established finance team.
The Role:
- Allocating cash received through bank transfers, card payments and direct debit collections
- Managing the end-to-end direct debit collection process
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers and internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively pursuing overdue balances while handling sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Maintaining an accurate debtors ledger and producing account reconciliations
- Providing clear explanations of balances and resolving account queries
- Escalating significantly overdue debts to senior management when appropriate
- Supporting the wider finance team with invoicing and related administration
- Identifying opportunities to improve credit control processes, reporting and financial controls
About you
We are looking for someone who takes pride in managing their own ledger and combines a results-focused approach with excellent customer service.
You will ideally have:
- Good Excel skills
- Previous credit control or accounts receivable experience
- Confidence communicating clearly and professionally by telephone and email
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
- A proactive, self-motivated approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
Experience of managing accounts with varied billing or payment arrangements would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
