Shift Pattern - Rotating Shifts - 40hrs
Week 1 - 6.00am – 2.30pm Mon – Fri
Week 2 – 1.30pm – 12.00am - Mon – Wed Plus Thurs 1.30pm – 11.30pm
Salary: £31,548.40pa (£28,038.40pa plus £15 shift allowance)

Are you an experienced PLATE / BAR Saw Operator looking to join a dynamic team?
We are seeking a full-time Plate / Bar Saw Operator to work in a factory environment. Experience is essential. If you’re detail-oriented and committed to safety, we want to hear from you.
Duties:
- Following drawings and work orders to cut materials to size and correct thickness
- Checking materials and carrying out quality checks
- Inspecting first off, using tape, micrometers and calliper instruments
- Stamping and labelling finished goods
- Checks to material allocated to be cut, length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting
- Performs daily housekeeping including the surrounding work area and metal saw.
- Performs stock take duties when required
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Plate or Bar Saw safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Verify materials and cut plans to ensure precision before cutting.
- Perform quality checks on cut pieces using measuring instruments.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on the saw and assist with housekeeping.
- Operate fork trucks and jib cranes as required, ensuring productivity sheets are completed daily.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience machine operating (Plate / Bar Saw)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
- Knowledge of cutting specifications and quality control measures.
- Ability to lift up to 20kgs and perform manual handling tasks.
- Team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
