Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled LCV/Van Mechanic to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vans. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues or potential failures
- Perform repairs using a variety of hand tools and power tools with precision and safety in mind
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently, diagnosing root causes accurately
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements
- Lift heavy components safely during repairs or installations, adhering to safety protocols
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections clearly and accurately
- Collaborate with team members to prioritise repair tasks and ensure timely completion
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar hands-on technical role
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle types and systems
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for repair work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
