You will be joining an established and well-regarded London residential property team, acting on the acquisition, disposal and refinancing of high-value residential property across London. The team advises a sophisticated client base, including high-net-worth individuals and international clients. We have a strong emphasis on quality, attention to detail and client care. You will work closely with experienced partners and associates who value initiative, reliability and teamwork.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Residential Property Conveyancing Assistant to support our fee earners across a range of residential property matters.
You will be supporting 4 fee earners and key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Opening and maintaining client files, including preparing client care documentation.
- Requesting searches.
- Obtaining Land Registry documents, preparing protocol forms and contract packs.
- Preparing and amending legal documents, correspondence and completion statements.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
- Handling Land Registry applications and requisitions.
- Preparing and submitting SDLT returns to HMRC
- Dealing with post completion formalities on leasehold assignments.
- Setting up payment requests via the firm’s payment software for partner approval.
- Updating lender platforms LMS and LE as necessary.
Supporting the residential property team to meet deadlines and service standards.

The role would suit someone with proven experience in an established London residential property team, who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys being a trusted part of a high-performing property team.
You will have:
- Experience as a residential property legal secretary/assistant/paralegal
- A strong understanding of the residential property transaction process
- Confidence in using case management systems and legal software
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
