M&E Buyer
AERIUS Marine UK (AMUK - a subsidiary of AERIUS Marine GmbH and part of the Heinen & Hopman Group) is considered a market leader in the provision of turnkey Marine Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Chilled Water, Refrigeration and Fixed Firefighting systems. With a portfolio of customers spanning the Naval, Commercial and the Offshore Renewable Energy sectors, Aerius Marine can offer exciting challenges for experienced M&E Buyers.
The role of a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Buyer within AMUK sits at the core of our project delivery. The M&E Buyer is a key enabler in ensuring our projects are supported with the delivery of materials, equipment and documentation on time, to cost and to the specified quality, all within strictly controlled compliance requirements.
Your primary responsibilities as a M&E Buyer will be:
Deliver the end-to-end procurement process for allocated Contracts/Purchase Orders
· Source and evaluate appropriate suppliers
· Onboarding of suppliers via supplier approval process
· Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, produce and issue ITTs, RFQs.
· Carry out evaluations of supplier responses providing clear recommendations to the business.
· Negotiate supplier Contracts/Purchase Orders within delegated authority levels
· Deliver allocated Contracts/Purchase Orders in line with business processes to achieve the required project outcome.
· Close allocated Contracts/Purchase Orders ensuring all business liabilities are addressed.
· Communicate lessons into the business for future contracts.
Supply Chain Systems, Operational Processes and Procedures
· Use the applicable Supply Chain Systems, Processes and Procedures.
· Input/extract data from our systems and perform data analysis.
Understand and Improve our Performance
· Contribute to supply chain performance data.
· Reporting of spend, cost savings and other supply chain improvements delivered to the business.
· Drive best value for money though activities such as maximising our leverage, applying commercial/contract principles, managing risks/opportunities.
· Develop strong relationships with our suppliers.
Required skills and qualifications for a M&E Buyer:
Essential:
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP etc...
- Previous experience procuring from non-UK suppliers with an understanding of applicable Import/Export requirements.
- Experience working with various collaborative data platforms such as; Egress/Proom/Kahootz; etc.
- High level of professional conduct.
- Highly refined organisational skills to deliver multiple Contracts/Purchase Orders simultaneously
- Excellent written communication skills to prepare, deliver and maintain consistent, well written correspondence and records.
· Effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
· Security clearance will be necessary therefore a valid BPSS certificate is mandatory; upon appointment the charges accrued will be covered by the company
Desirable:
· Familiarisation with Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Chilled Water, Refrigeration and Fixed Firefighting systems
· Familiarisation with the Naval market
· Experience working within a highly controlled security environment
· German Speaking

Aerius Marine UK support continuous professional development and will work with the successful candidate to identify relevant/ appropriate training.
Job Types:Full-time. 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with 3 days office based and 2 days working from home.
