Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, respecting dietary requirements and preferences
- Maintain accurate care plans and document any changes in the client’s condition
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
- Administer medication as per care plans, following strict protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Respectful of clients’ privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
