Job Summary
National Aquatic Training Centre is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and experienced Parent & Baby Swimming Teacher to join our growing swim school in Cardiff.
You will be responsible for delivering fun, engaging and supportive swimming sessions for babies and their parents/carers, helping families develop water confidence and essential early swimming skills in a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging parent and baby swimming sessions.
- Create a fun, positive and supportive environment for babies and their parents/carers.
- Teach age-appropriate water confidence, movement and safety skills.
- Provide clear guidance and demonstrations to parents throughout each session.
- Build positive relationships with families and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure all sessions are delivered safely and in line with relevant swimming teaching and safeguarding standards.
- Monitor participants' progress and provide appropriate feedback to parents.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming approach at all times.
Requirements
Essential:
- STA Level 2 Parent & Baby Swimming qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with babies and young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and comfortable teaching in the water.
- Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Desirable:
- Previous experience delivering parent and baby swimming programmes.
- Additional swimming teaching or aquatic qualifications.
- First Aid qualification.

Pay: From £17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week
