Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Workers/senior support workers to join our team. This vital role involves providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. Duties
- Offer daily care and emotional support to children in the residential facility, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
- Assist with implementing individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs, promoting their personal growth and development.
- Support children with their educational activities, hobbies, and social interactions to encourage confidence and independence.
- Facilitate effective communication between children, families, and external professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Drive children safely to appointments, school, or recreational activities as required, maintaining adherence to road safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies.
- Contribute to the organisation of recreational activities and outings that promote social skills and community engagement.
- Ensure the residential environment remains clean, organised, and conducive to the children's wellbeing.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience developing or following care plans is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for liaising effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to operate basic IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children safely to various locations.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's needs and fostering positive relationships.

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,112.80 per year
