Call & Recall Team Administrator

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Call & Recall Team Administrator to join our growing General Practice team. This is a telephone-based administrative role focused on supporting patient care through the effective management of call and recall programmes, helping practices achieve key Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and contractual targets.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in proactively contacting patients, booking appointments, updating clinical systems, and ensuring patients receive timely reviews, monitoring, and preventative healthcare interventions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working to targets, is confident communicating with patients by telephone, and has excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact patients by telephone, text message, and other approved communication methods to arrange appointments and reviews.
- Support the delivery of QOF, Enhanced Services, and other contractual requirements.
- Work from call and recall lists generated from clinical systems.
- Book appointments for long-term condition reviews, vaccinations, screening programmes, health checks, and other clinical services.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical systems accordingly.
- Monitor progress against targets and activity plans.
- Liaise with clinical and administrative teams to ensure patient reviews are completed within required timescales.
- Identify and follow up patients who have not responded to invitations.
- Support data quality initiatives and patient record validation.
- Produce reports and provide updates on activity and performance as required.
- Adhere to confidentiality, GDPR, and information governance requirements at all times.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or healthcare role.
- Excellent telephone communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls and patient contacts.
- Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to achieving objectives and deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience working within General Practice, Primary Care, or the NHS.
- Knowledge of QOF, Enhanced Services, and NHS performance targets.
- Experience using EMIS Web or similar clinical systems.
- Understanding of patient recall processes and long-term condition management.
