Upholstery Sewing Machinist
Machining of various types of fabric according to specification; whilst meeting production and quality standards.
Job duties/Skills;
- A High degree of machining skills, including lockstitch, overlock, welting, twin needle and top stitch.
- A strong eye for detail and quality with the ability to pattern match fabrics and ensure seam sizes are matched.
- Previous experience of using a DURKOPP Adler machine or similar.is preferable
- Previous experience of sewing upholstery including caravan seats, backrests, scatters and bolsters is essential
- A strong machining background with a keen eye to detail.
- Be flexible in their approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrate reliability and be able to work as part of a team.
- Committed to achieving the targets of the department whilst working safely and in full compliance with the health and safety requirements of the department.
Working hours;
Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 4.30pm
Friday 8am-3:30pm
Permanent Full time Position
Position Payrate;
£33,000 per annum depending on experience
