Machine Operator – Paper Buckets & Cups
Location: Kidderminster, UK
Salary: £32,175.00 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time (37.5hrs per week), Day-shift initially. Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment used in the production of paper buckets, cups, and related products, ensuring that quality, safety, and production targets are consistently met. May be required to attend training in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing machinery used in bucket and cup production according to production specifications and work orders.
- Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings as required.
- Inspect finished products for quality, dimensions, and appearance.
- Remove defective products and report any issues to the Senior Machine Operator and/or Quality Coordinator.
- Perform routine machine cleaning.
- Package, label, and prepare finished goods for storage or shipment.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Work collaboratively with other team members.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Experience in packaging production is an advantage.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production schedules.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move materials.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
