Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children Registered Manager to lead and oversee the operational and clinical aspects of a children’s care setting. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s care facility, ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans that address each child's unique needs, including those requiring specialized support such as dementia or Alzheimer’s-related conditions when applicable.
- Supervise and support staff members, including recruiting, training, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations to foster a motivated and competent team.
- Ensure medication administration protocols are followed accurately and safely in accordance with legal standards.
- Oversee the management of health and safety procedures, safeguarding policies, and risk assessments to maintain a secure environment for children.
- Maintain detailed records of care activities, incident reports, and compliance documentation for auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services that promote children’s well-being and development.
Experience
- Proven experience working within assisted living or nursing home environments with children or vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a care home or similar setting.
- Strong background in nursing or healthcare management with knowledge of care plans, medication administration, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with senior care practices including dementia care and Alzheimer’s care is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing teams within home care or residential settings that serve children or young people requiring specialized support.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
