Working Supervisor / Charge Hand Required for Little Chalfont

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects across London and the Home Counties, St Albans Brickwork is looking to recruit an experienced Working Supervisor / Charge Hand to join our team.
This is a hands on role for someone who can lead by example, maintain high standards on site, and assist the Project Manager in the day to day running of masonry works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Project Manager with the daily management and coordination of site activities
- Supervising bricklayers and labourers while remaining actively involved in the works where required
- Monitoring quality, productivity, and progress on site
- Ensuring works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Coordinating labour, materials, and plant requirements
- Carrying out quality checks and helping to resolve site issues as they arise
- Supporting site inductions, toolbox talks, and health and safety compliance
- Maintaining good communication with the client, main contractor, and site teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Working Supervisor, Charge Hand, or Leading Bricklayer
- Strong knowledge of masonry construction and site operations
- Ability to read drawings and interpret construction details
- Good organisational and communication skills
- SSSTS qualification required
- Full UK driving licence preferred
