Job Summary
The Senior Health Care Assistant will lead and support staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual support plans and CQC standards. Reporting to the Registered Manager, the role involves coordinating care, supporting individuals’ wellbeing, supervising staff, managing rotas, completing on-call duties, and ensuring effective communication with families and professionals. The post holder will promote independence, choice, and positive outcomes while adhering to Magnus Care Ltd policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and support staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual support plans
- Ensure individuals’ physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing is promoted at all times
- Act as a key point of contact for individuals, families, and external health professionals
- Support individuals to develop independence, make choices, and engage in community activities
- Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager to implement and review care plans, risk assessments, and support strategies
- Supervise, support, and develop staff, including inductions, competency checks, spot checks, and supervision
- Manage and maintain rotas once issued, reporting changes to the Registered Manager
- Participate in the on-call rota and complete accurate on-call logs
- Monitor medication, finances, incidents, and safeguarding concerns, escalating issues appropriately
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Magnus Care Ltd policies, procedures, and CQC requirements

Qualifications
- Willingness to complete all mandatory training in line with Magnus Care Ltd requirements
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
- Enhanced DBS check with satisfactory clearance (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes with valid MOT and business insurance
