Job Overview
Ursell Pools & Wellness produce high-quality saunas, steam rooms and wellness products for both the wellness industry and private sector. We are looking for a skilled Joiner, Furniture Maker or experienced maker to join our workshop-based manufacturing team at our factory near the centre of Bristol.
This is a hands-on role working between our workshop and site installations. The successful candidate will help produce saunas, steam rooms and wellness products in our workshop, then assist with taking these items to domestic and commercial sites for installation. The role will be approximately 60% workshop-based and 40% site-based – this will fluctuate in line with the demands of the business.
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of working with timber and sheet materials for constructional purposes. Previous workshop and/or site installation experience is desired.
Previous experience building saunas and working with heavy woodworking machinery is preferred, but not essential. Experience working with HiMacs, Corian or other solid surface materials would also be beneficial.

Duties
- Fabricate and assemble saunas using softwood, tongue and groove boarding and sheet materials.
- Fabricate and assemble steam rooms and wet rooms using wedi board and related materials.
- Fabricate wellness products using solid surface materials such as Corian or HiMacs.
- Work with heavy woodworking machinery, including equipment such as spindle moulders, planers and panel saws.
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively and safely.
- Lift and handle timber, sheet materials and other workshop/site materials.
- Work with the workshop team to manufacture saunas, steam rooms and wellness products ready for installation.
- Travel to domestic and commercial sites to assist with fitting and installation.
- Work remotely on building sites as required.
- Stay away overnight when site installations are in progress.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on site, including builders, plumbers and electricians, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Ensure tools and materials are stored and used safely.
- Work towards full ownership of installation tasks such as sauna and steam plant and equipment – no previous experience required.
Experience and Requirements
- Proven experience as a joiner, bench joiner, cabinetmaker, furniture maker or similar is preferred.
- Experience with timber and sheet materials is essential.
- Experience with heavy woodworking machinery is preferred.
- Previous sauna, steam room or wellness industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience working with HiMacs, Corian or other solid surface materials is beneficial.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools and joinery techniques is required.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CSCS qualification is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Full valid UK driving licence is essential.
- CNC experience is desirable.
- No formal qualifications are required.

Salary
£30,000 - £40,000 dependent on relevant experience.

Schedule
- Full-time, permanent role.
- Monday to Friday.
- Standard working day: 8.00am - 5.00pm.
- 8-hour minimum shift.
- Limited flexi-time available within agreed parameters.
- Overtime available.
- Overnight stays required when installations are in progress.
Licence / Certification
- Full UK driving licence required.
- CSCS card desirable, or willingness to work towards one.
Work Location
In person, based from our Bristol workshop, with regular work on domestic and commercial installation sites.
