Alex England Decorators Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Painting & Decorating Foreman to join our team.
We are a professional painting and decorating company delivering high-quality workmanship across a range of residential and commercial projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can lead a team effectively, and has a strong eye for detail.
The Role
As Painting & Decorating Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing decorating projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and coordinating painters and decorators on site
- Organising daily workloads and allocating tasks to the team
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard
- Carrying out preparation, painting and decorating work
- Checking the quality of completed work and ensuring attention to detail
- Liaising with clients, site managers and other trades
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site requirements
- Monitoring materials and reporting when additional supplies are required
- Maintaining a clean, professional and organised work environment
- Supporting apprentices and less experienced members of the team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in the painting and decorating industry
- Has previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role
- Someone who is driven to progress their career
- Takes pride in delivering a high-quality finish
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Can lead and motivate a team
- Is reliable, professional and well organised
- Has good communication and customer-service skills
- Can work independently and use their own initiative
- Holds a valid driving licence
- Has relevant trade qualifications or experience
