About Us
Stopem Ltd is a well-established, family-run manufacturer of traffic control, parking equipment, supplying contractors, local authorities, commercial businesses and distributors across the UK.
We're looking for a confident, organised and commercially minded Internal Sales Administrator to join our friendly office team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering outstanding customer service and actively contributing to business growth.
This isn't a high-pressure cold-calling role. Instead, you'll be working with both new and existing customers, handling enquiries, preparing quotations, following up opportunities and seeing projects through from initial enquiry to completed order.
The Role
As an Internal Sales Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Responding promptly to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Preparing accurate quotations and proactively following them up.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identifying opportunities to maximise sales and generate new business.
- Processing customer orders accurately.
- Liaising with production to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Delivering excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and sales information.
- Working towards individual and team sales targets.
- Providing general sales administration support to the team.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in sales, internal sales, account management or a customer-facing role (B2B sales experience preferred).
- Is an excellent communicator with strong telephone and email skills.
- Has a natural ability to build rapport and enjoys speaking with customers.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
- Has strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Is confident using computer systems and able to learn new software quickly.
- Has experience using Sage 50 Accounts (desirable but not essential).
- Has experience within manufacturing or engineering (advantageous but not essential).
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- Company pension.
- On-site parking.
- Full training on our products and systems.
- A friendly and supportive working environment.
- A long-term career opportunity within a growing, family-run manufacturing business.
This Role Probably Isn't for You If...
- You don't enjoy speaking with customers and building relationships.
- You prefer to wait to be told what to do rather than taking the initiative.
- You struggle to manage multiple tasks or work in a fast-paced environment.
- You're not confident using Microsoft Office and computer systems as part of your daily work.
- You don't enjoy working as part of a small team where everyone supports each other.
- You're looking for a role where you can simply process enquiries rather than actively following up quotations, identifying opportunities and helping to win business.
