Job Summary
We are seeking Logistics Assistant to join our small team working on pathology orders to support our onsite laboratory and external clinics. In this role, you will play a vital part in coordinating transportation, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring seamless materials handling.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring of stock levels
- Input of collections schedule
- Preparation and distribution of client orders via courier
- Managing courier collections
- Organisation of offsite storage (lockup units)
- Preparation and dispatch of diagnostic kits
- Kit preparation in logistics
- Washing of tubes and other laboratory equipment
- Cleaning of logistics and entrance area
- Cleaning of benches once work in the area is completed
- Removal of general waste.
- Driving to and from clinics for collections and deliveries (UK driving license must be held)
Requirements
- Ability to carry out physical tasks such as lifting and moving stock
- Strong focus skills to work through large customers orders to a fast turn around time
- Attention to detail across different customer requirements
- Confident in IT equipment such as barcode scanners, franking machine, IT systems
- Confident speaking over the phone to customers as well as face to face when doing collections
The role is Full Time Monday to Friday with a 1 in 3 Saturday of a shorter shift.
