Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Commercial / Venue Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our bustling venues and commercial spaces. This role is vital in creating a welcoming, safe, and professional environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. As a key team member, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of cleanliness through efficient cleaning routines, ensuring all areas are spotless and well-maintained. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold the reputation of our venues as pristine and inviting spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including floors, restrooms, lobbies, conference rooms, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of fixtures, furniture, windows, and surfaces to meet health and safety standards.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency across all venue areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Support special cleaning projects or deep cleans as required during venue events or after hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to operate commercial cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols.
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work during evenings or weekends if needed for venue events or deep cleaning sessions.
We have two part-time shifts available:
1. Weekday Position: Monday to Friday (7:30 AM – 11:30 AM | 20 hrs/wk)
2. Weekend Position: Saturday & Sunday (5:30 AM – 11:30 AM | 12 hrs/wk)
Shift Flexibility: Exact daily start and finish times can be discussed during screening, as shift hours may be adjusted depending on staff pairing and team setup.
*All cleaning must be completed to a high standard by 11:30 AM prior to customer opening.*
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
