We’re a dynamic and growing company specialising in same-day and express courier services across the UK. Known for our speed, reliability, and excellent customer service, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Same Day Courier Controller to join our operations team.
The Role:
As a Same Day Courier Controller you will be at the heart of our operation, coordinating urgent deliveries, managing a network of drivers, and ensuring our clients receive outstanding service every time. This is a fast paced environment that changes at the drop of a hat which requires an ever-evolving strategy to cope with customers' requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and allocate same-day delivery jobs to a fleet of drivers efficiently
- Monitor driver performance and delivery progress throughout the day
- Liaise with clients to provide real-time updates and solutions
- Maintain operational precision amidst non-stop, same-day booking changes, evolving our strategy by the minute to deliver rapid and accurate client solutions
- Work closely with internal teams to maintain high service standards
- Use logistics software to manage bookings, track vehicles, and log activity
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a courier or transport control room preferred but not essential
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Calm under pressure with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with IT systems and Google-Drive
- A team player with a flexible and can-do attitude
- Strong people management skills
